About Dota2sphere

One place for Dota 2 players and the people they play with, built by one developer in the open.

Why it exists

Dota lives in a dozen tabs: one site for hero stats, another for match breakdowns, a Discord for finding a stack, a wiki for the tournament bracket. Dota2sphere brings them into one place, built for players first.

It's free, paid for by ads, and in open alpha: things will change, break and get better, and what players ask for shapes what comes next.

How it's built

The answer first
Every page opens with one sentence that says what the numbers mean, then shows the numbers that prove it.
Honest numbers
Every win rate shows how many games it comes from, and small samples are pulled towards the average instead of topping the charts.
Fast in a draft
The fewest clicks between a question and an answer, because a draft gives you seconds, not minutes.

What you can do here

Whose numbers these are

Player names come from Steam, hero, player and match stats from STRATZ and OpenDota, and pro events from Valve's own league data.

What we work out on top is signed: Dotier signs our reads of heroes, drafts and matches, Doma our reads of a player. Anything unsigned is the game's own data. More in the legal notice.

Dota2sphere is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve. Dota 2 is a registered trademark of Valve Corporation.
